John Trichereau - Software Developer Scammer

• John started in November and delivery was agreed to March 15. Since there was no delivery, we requested it by end of March but he abruptly quit before important investor presentation not having to discuss status of system development and go thru corporate due diligence which would expose him.

• However, he promised to onboard the next developer and handover the code if we close the job on Upwork and give him a good job review first . Since we declined and requested that he hands over the code for software and code review first, he disappeared for a month. No emails, no calls, nothing.

We spent nearly 10.000 euros and 6 months with him and got nothing .

This person uses multiple online identietes and seems to change them as one goes bad. To us he was John Trichereau (alias Jean Trichereau, John T, Jean T and propably many others). He claims to have high expertise in programming in Ruby on Rails and ReactJS and many other software development technologies. We hired him from Upwork to develop our system backend.

He grossly and systematically violated UpWork contract terms, our trust and took the money and run. He lied about his skills, misrepresented progress, intentionally exceeded every budget and tried to blackmail us to give him a good review and close the job online before “delivery”. When Upwork suspended his account, he eventually sent the Dispute Team few pictures and fake files but took them offline and disappeared when they wanted to make an internal code review by experts.

This was a total loss for us. Upwork.com suspended his account. We reported him to the police and had to sue him for damages of 40.000 euros. He knows how to do this and will do it again if we don’t publish this as public service.
